Brrr! A chilly start to the new year.

Welcome to the Year of the Snake!

I’m home in Canada with family in the winter for Spring Festival for the first time in many years. Its wintery and cold, but I am delighted to be able to share this holiday with my daughter while she is at university. I am less delighted by the weather and it has been a bit of a shock to the system to get out in the cold again after so many years without experiencing it. This January in Ontario is back to its cold, hard, snowy self after several warmer years and I am doing my best to embrace it. Or brace myself against it. Whatever it takes.

Happy Spring Festival to you, no matter how far away spring may seem at the moment. Reuniting with family and friends, good food, and brisk walks in the snow have warmed my heart as we celebrate together. I wish you and yours joy, warmth, good fortune and prosperity in the Year of the Snake.
